Garth Badger is a New Zealand–based photographer, furniture maker, and artist living and working in Titirangi, West Auckland. His practice revolves around the human form, weaving together his multidisciplinary background to create work that is both tactile and thought-provoking.

In his furniture design, Garth embraces an ethos of figurative upcycling—repurposing materials once intended for entirely different uses. Each piece is truly one of a kind, with its form, size, and character shaped by the materials themselves and their influence on the final aesthetic.

Garth’s artistic work consistently explores the theme of memento mori—the reminder of mortality as a key to living a richer, more intentional present.
