Gerard Dombroski

Gerard Dombroski holds a Master of Architecture (Professional) from Victoria University of Wellington Te Herenga Waka and works as a registered architect, artist, and furniture-maker. His practice moves fluidly between architecture and object-making, with each discipline informing the other. His Piccolo cabin, designed and built during a residency at Driving Creek, was longlisted in the small building category of the Dezeen Awards 2022.

Recent exhibitions include Inflation, Season (2025), The Chair, Objectspace (2023–24), Cook & Company, Objectspace(2023), and Home, Season (2022). Central to his work is a commitment to making—an approach that shapes his perspective on design and collaboration.

Based just outside Wellington, Dombroski maintains a large workshop that serves as both studio and laboratory, supporting experimentation, prototyping, and hands-on design development.
