Matan Fadida

Matan Fadida is a multidisciplinary designer dedicated to building a personal world through product, furniture, and clothing. Their practice draws from a wide range of materials and techniques, guided by the belief that objects not only shape our surroundings but also influence who we are, how we live, and the habits we form.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Product Design from AUT in 2018, Matan developed a design practice in New Zealand, refining their craft and cultivating a distinct design language. The encouragement and success achieved locally provided the confidence to relocate to London in 2022, where they worked alongside renowned designers including Martino Gamper and Faye Toogood.

This experience profoundly influenced [Name]’s approach, broadening perspective and elevating their own work. During this period, they exhibited the Primal Chair in Milan as part of Wallpaper*’s Stars of the Future exhibition for Design Week (2024).

Since returning to New Zealand in May 2025, Matan has been applying these experiences to new projects, including a Pop Up collaboration with Kiosk and the exhibition Forge & Sprout with Season Aotearoa. This latest furniture series continues their exploration of form, materiality, and storytelling through design.
