Tom Gray

Led by Tom Harry Gray, KERYX is an independent design studio based in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa New Zealand. The practice centres on folded steel, using geometry and structural economy as both method and visual language. Each piece is fabricated locally in limited numbers, retaining the material’s inherent weight, clarity, and subtle mill-scale variation.

FOLD-01 marks the inaugural release in an evolving series of structural steel works that explore balance, efficiency, and form through reduction. Trained in Industrial Design at Massey University, Tom approaches each project with a sensitivity to engineering principles and spatial thinking. Through KERYX, he works at the intersection of object, structure, and architecture, creating pieces that are both materially honest and formally precise.
